Hey, guys. I have an update for the level up systems in SAO (some of this will be repeats of information already posted, but there is some new stuff in here, trust me XD). As we plan right now, the game will have a maximum level cap of 500 levels. At every level, you gain 3 ability points which you can either use to upgrade your strength or agility. These points will affect your stats as shown below. Also, certain weapons will have requirements for strength and/or agility in order to draw them from their sheathe.
Agility: Agility will increase the maximum speed that a player can move their body. It will start at a speed slightly higher than the human average (somewhere around 18-20mph). It will increase at a rate of 1 mph every 10 points spent (or 1/10 of a mph every point spent). For those of you who don't like doing math, this will lead to a maximum speed of 150mph at max level, without taking armor modifications or other skill modifications into account (for example, sprint will increase your maximum running speed even more, but not the other types of speed)
Strength: Strength will increase the damage a player can do with weapons, their maximum health, and how strong their character is in-game (from a muscles standpoint). To give you an idea of what we were thinking, consider a human of average height and weight. A regular punch from a lvl 1 player will cause the human to stumble backwards. This distance will increase by 1 yard every 2 points spent in it (or 1.5 feet for every point). This will lead to a maximum lauching distance of 750 yards, without taking into consideration any other factors. Obviously, armor rating will affect launch distance, as well as the use of sword skills designed to launch an opponent and the weight of the opponent.
