So I was trying to think of some concepts for floors in SAO, but then I got this idea instead. How about I open the question up to you guys. Now, I can't promise if you put something here we'll like it, and I can't even promise that we'll even use one of your ideas, but it just seemed more logical to ask you guys what you thought were cool floors instead of trying to guess.

Now, I'm going to keep trying to think of new ideas, but there's 100 floors we need to fill up, and it would be awesome if we could have something really cool and interesting for every one. Many heads certainly think better than one. So let me ask this question formally...

What do you guys think would be a really cool floor to include and/or play through in SAO?

Yeah, I was just thinking like the ideas I was giving on the team forums. If they say "I think it would be really cool to have a floor where you're going through the underwater city of Atlantis" then they won't really know what the floor is like, just that when they get to an underwater one that that's where the idea came from. I don't know the exact layouts for any of the floors we've posted in Argus, and I'm on the team developing them.

If it's just about the floor then i don't see any problems with that.. he is not placing the spawn points of the monsters or anything
It's also just an idea and no exact concept so you guys could use the idea and create the layout like you want it to be..

For example:
''My idea for one of the 100 floors is a desert with old tunnels from a forgotten time''

Things you could take out of such an idea:
''Desert'' ''Old tunnel system'' -> it's a very hot floor so towns are underground and they're very small, make it harder to fight outside with some debuff stuff like loosing strenght and speed when you fight for too long in the burning heat or something like that silent , you know how deserts look like so no proplem with the design of the floor

If you use that idea you already have the next one: a cold floor Smile

I suggest a floor that's related to time where its like from time-to-time, the time of the place stops and everything except the players are frozen ^^

A few ideas:
1. A floor that is made completely of clouds, so maybe there could be like a jump height buff or something.
2. A floor which is perpetually at night.
3. A floor with a bunch of islands, maybe connected by bridges (i don't know if it should be air islands or regular islands, your pick)
4. A gravity themed floor, so like gravity going in different directions in different places.

Ive already thought up on gravity but its only reversed. To have a full on floor with grav going everywhere that'll be a challenge for anyone to get their head around fully but i had another idea for that in a second floor so dont worry Smile

And i like the idea for a desert ruins floor.

mirrors (just to be super trippy)
abandoned/ destroyed city (thinking something like chernobyl)

The floor 2 is supposed to be a mountainous/plains area, with the mobs being ox-like. It was described in the Manga I believe. Make sure you don't miss anything important like this from the Manga! ^^
I'm thinking of a floor that'll have tons of tropical islands, and the one in the middle is the biggest and has the boss tower in it, which looks like a volcano. Mobs would variate from tropical animals, to water creatures and sharks, to lava/fire monsters. The villages would be tribe men! This variating landscape would also be good for cleverly hiding treasure/dungeons underwater or on islands! Who knows; You might have to be careful when swimming/boating. Pirates could be abroad!
